TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All the cakes, cupcakes, muffins and cookies made by Flavorsome Bakes and Treats are subject to the following terms and Conditions. Purchasing of any our products and services indicates that you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. INGREDIENTS
The ingredients use in all our bakes are of high quality.
All our Cakes contain wheat, Eggs and dairy, may contain soy or other allergens. We use cow’s milk and fresh cream on our cakes, scones and muffins. We don’t add nuts to our cakes, cupcakes, muffins, cookies, however the ingredients used may have nuts and also we bake in a kitchen where there are nuts used. Every effort is taken to keep ingredients separate however cakes may contain traces of nuts or nut oil.
Kindly note that it is your responsibility to notify your guests of this risk and we will not be held responsible for any allergic relations.
We offer 3 varieties of cookies; Viennese, cranberry & Coconut cookies and so-ginger cookies.
All fruit cakes contain brandy.
Due to the nature of the fresh ingredients used, our sponge cakes and cupcakes are made to be eaten on the day of the celebration.
2. STORAGE
Fondant covered cakes may be kept up to 2 to 3 days from the day of the event, if kept in a cool dry place.
Fruit cakes can be stored for longer period, we offer guidance of how to keep.
Cookies store well in glass jars that are air tight. Each type should be stored separately not mixed.
Sugar paste flowers and decorations and edible prints are not designed to be refrigerated and as such, cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably in the box they were supplied in, refrigeration may cause colours to run.
3. ORDERS
All our bakes are made for order. We do not have readily baked goods.
All our cakes a custom made.
We prefer at least 2 months’ notice for all wedding cakes. However we will accept short notice cakes subject to the availability of the date required.
We require at least 5 days’ notice for all other cakes, cupcakes, muffins, scones and cookies. However we will accept short notice subject to the availability of the date required. Orders are only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.

4. DEPOSIT
We require 50% deposit for all orders from R200.00. All deposits received are non-Refundable.
5. PAYMENTS AND BALANCE
Payments may be paid in cash, EFT or bank deposit. Bank deposits carry and additional charge of R10.00 per transaction.
Final payments/remaining balances on wedding cakes are payable within 3 weeks to the date of the event.
For all other bakes, final payments may be made on the day of collection or delivery.
6. DESIGNS
We custom make our cakes, and we do not replicate cakes downloaded from the internet or from magazines. We will however do our best to match designs and colours but there may be some variance. Our designs will be an interpretation of their cakes.

We reserve the right to use our judgment when creating and designing your cake and we may need to adjust your order accordingly. In that regard we will inform you prior to the changes.
We do print edible prints. However we don’t have any rights to any prints. Kindly ensure that you provide us we images that you have copy rights of.
7. CANCELLATIONS
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Full payment of the cake balance is required if cancellation is within 1 month of the wedding date, 50% of cake balance is required if cancellation is within 2 to 1 months of the wedding date.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure receipt of the cancellation. On receipt of the cancellation we send a confirmation and information of any amounts due at the cancellation date, these amounts must be paid within 2 weeks of receipts of the communication.
Changes to the design and flavours may not be accepted once the deposit has been made, if allowed it will carry additional charges to the order.
8. VIEWING AND CAKE TASTING
Cake tasting is provided on wedding cakes with minimum of R1500.00 only. This Cake tasting is provided only when an order is confirmed by deposit.
As an alternative we provide mini cupcakes available on order to serve as cake tasters.
For viewing of cakes; kindly note that cakes with sponge tiers may not be completed until a day prior to/or on the day of the celebration, to ensure the cakes are as fresh as possible. vewing will only be done of arragement.
9. DISPUTES
In any disputes: any refund given for disputes regarding a cake design and bake thereof are completely at the discretion of Flavorsome Bakes and Treats and are not automatic.
Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied.
Once the cake leaves our premises upon collection, we have no responsibility over it and thus cannot be held liable for any damage to it.
All cakes delivered to venues are photographed from different angles to show cake. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items with the cake such as knives, decorations and stands once the cake has been delivered to a venue or collected from our premises, or for loss, damage or non-delivery under unavoidable or exceptional circumstances. This in no way affects your legislative rights.
10. DELIVERY
We only provide free delivery and setup on venues within the town of Matatiele; within a 5km radius. Delivery is not automatic, arrangements will be made prior. Delivery charges will apply on all delivery requests and arrangements. Cakes will be delivered and set up subject to availability; any arrangements for delivery may be subject to change, however prior notice will be given where possible.
Cakes are to be collected from our premises at a prearranged time and date only.
11. RIGHT TO REFUSE AND ORDER
We reserve the right to refuse to accept your order if:
• we have insufficient stock or tools to deliver the products you have ordered;
• we are not able to deliver to your area; or
• we are fully booked for the dates available

12. QUANTITIES FOR CUPCAKES MUFFINS AND SCONES
Muffins and cupcakes are provided in minimum of 12 (a dozen).
Scones are sold in batches of 5l, 10l and 20l buckets
13. PUBLICATION AND MARKETING
We take photographs of all our bakes and market our bakes on the internet and social media. Often we share our cakes on the Flavorsome Bakes and Treats website and social media pages. We also share our work with other potential customers.
